What This Means For Your Aircraft's Airworthiness Status

The FAA has put owners on notice that aftermarket 3D printed cabin items — yoke grips, cup holders, and similar add-ons — lack the documentation required for installation on a type-certificated airframe. Fitting one without proper approval can compromise the aircraft's airworthiness status, regardless of how minor the part seems.
