Christian Bale Opens 11,000-Square-Foot Foster Village North of Los Angeles

Christian Bale, who played Batman in "The Dark Knight" trilogy before retiring the role in 2012, has opened a foster care facility in Palmdale, California. The 11,000-square-foot property is part of his Together California foster care village. Bale said the effort aims to "turn their heartbreak and their pain into love."
