Hollywood Reporter Names del Toro, Barker Among 2026's Top Genre Filmmakers

The Hollywood Reporter has released its list of the top genre filmmakers of 2026, spanning 30 directors from newcomer Curry Barker to veteran Guillermo del Toro. The publication credits the group with drawing audiences back into movie theaters. Several of the filmmakers named have also attracted competing offers from studios and distributors for their work.
