Netflix Taps East of Eden Team for New Lonesome Dove Series

Netflix has ordered a new series adaptation of "Lonesome Dove," the western that previously reached television as a 1989 CBS miniseries. That earlier production starred Robert Duvall and won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe. The new version will be led by Zoe Kazan and Jeb Stuart, who currently serve as showrunners on Netflix's "East of Eden." The streamer announced the order this week.
