Nielsen Cuts Its Streaming Rankings Delay to Two Weeks
Nielsen has shortened the reporting window on its Streaming Top 10 rankings, a closely followed scorecard for the entertainment industry headquartered around Beverly Hills. The company will now publish weekly viewership figures two weeks after they occur, replacing the four-week delay that had been standard practice. Nielsen attributed the faster turnaround to improvements in its analytics process. The rankings track the most-watched shows and films across major streaming platforms.
