Pierce Brosnan Says the Next 007 Won't Be a Name Audiences Already Recognize
Pierce Brosnan, who played James Bond in four films, said he expects the actor who inherits the role to be someone largely unfamiliar to audiences. His comment comes as casting speculation builds around Denis Villeneuve's upcoming Bond installment, a project that has kept the question of who takes over the spy role unresolved. Brosnan added that a number of contenders are already under consideration for the part, describing the field using the phrase "good hats in the ring." He did not name any of those contenders.
