Sony Pictures Entertainment Chief Credits Emotional Response for 'Brand New Day' Box-Office Run

Sony Pictures Entertainment's chief executive said the strong box-office performance of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" stems from the emotional response the film draws from audiences. The executive said that response distinguishes it from other recent superhero releases. The comments came as the studio pointed to the movie's box-office results as a measure of that success.
