‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Sets Speed Record for $900 Million at the Domestic Box Office

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has crossed $900 million in domestic box-office receipts faster than any film before it, according to Variety Film. The milestone falls in the film's sixth weekend in theaters, a stretch in which it has held onto the No. 1 spot nationwide. Two new action releases, Paramount's "By Any Means" and A24's "Onslaught," opened in theaters Friday, but neither was able to move "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" out of first place at the box office.
