Spider-Man Sequel Crosses $900 Million Domestically, Fastest Film Ever to Do So
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has become the fastest movie in history to reach $900 million at the domestic box office, Variety reports. The film hit the mark in its sixth weekend in theaters, a stage of release when ticket sales for most blockbusters have already begun to slow. Two new action titles arrived in theaters this weekend, Paramount's "By Any Means" and A24's "Onslaught," but neither pulled ahead of the Marvel sequel. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" held on to the No. 1 spot at the domestic box office despite the new competition.
