UCLA Research Center Finds Young Moviegoers Want More Faith-Driven Stories
A new study out of the Center for Scholars & Storytellers at UCLA reports that Gen Z and other younger viewers are drawn to films and shows featuring complex spiritual characters and storylines that grapple with faith. The center, based in Los Angeles, titled the research "Future of Faith." According to the study, younger audiences are open to religious themes when they are portrayed with nuance rather than simplicity. The findings were shared with the entertainment trade press this week.
