Variety Takes Up "Super Deluxe" Edition of the Beatles' "Rubber Soul"

Variety has looked at a "Super Deluxe" edition of the Beatles' "Rubber Soul" and used it as a reason to ask which of the band's albums ranks highest. The publication's answer is that the best Beatles record is whichever one a listener happens to be playing. By that measure, Variety says, the title could just as easily go to "Meet the Beatles" or "Let It Be." It also notes that the album's song lineup has changed over the years, which makes it harder to rank. For listeners in Beverly Hills, the edition is a new reason to play the record and decide for themselves.
