The Record Now Has a North Palm Beach Address
Larry Ellison, who co-founded Oracle, is asking a record $165 million for his estate on the water in North Palm Beach. He bought it in 2021 for $80 million, so the new price is a little more than double what he paid. An earlier attempt to sell it had a $145 million price, and the house now comes back to market $20 million higher. Miami usually assumes that record numbers belong to Miami. Naples usually assumes that nobody needs to say them out loud. This one comes from the town with "North" in front of its name, and that town now has a figure of its own to talk about. On the shore here, the number is likely to be the main topic at dinner for a while.
