The CMA has released this year's list of International Award recipients. It's a short announcement, and it matters in this city, where the business of country music is run from offices a few blocks from the studios. The awards carry the word "international" in their name, and the list is how a Nashville institution says whose work it wants on the record this year. The announcement stops at the honors themselves.
