A New Festival for the Fall: Drake White Launches Loblolly Fest in Alabama

Drake White will host the inaugural Loblolly Fest on Saturday, October 17, at The Bluff Amphitheater in Alabama. This is the festival's first year. It has a name, a date and a stage, and nothing else about it has been established yet. The venue is an open-air amphitheater, and in mid-October that means an evening outside, just as the Southern heat finally lets up. For readers here, the story is simple: an artist has put his own name on a new event and chosen the date and the stage himself. That takes some nerve, and we're glad to see it. We'll share the lineup and further details as they're announced.
