The ninth annual Nashville Songwriter Awards closed last week, and NSAI didn't let the evening end at the final award. An after party followed, giving the people who write the songs a little more time together. In a town where the credits on the page count for as much as the name on the marquee, it makes sense that the association chose to keep celebrating. The spotlight usually goes to the singer, but that night belonged to the writers.
