Stanley Tucci Takes Up Art Theft, On Screen Only
Stanley Tucci, the Oscar nominee, has a new film called Masterplan, and its subject is the stealing of art, which ought to make for a lively dinner topic in any house on the island that hangs the real thing. Speaking with Vanity Fair, he ranged well beyond the picture, touching on raising children, on artificial intelligence, and on the prospect of working a little less than he has. He admitted that scrolling Instagram leaves him unsure, much of the time, whether what he is looking at is genuine. For a man playing a part in a story about taking paintings that are, it is a fitting worry.
