Boeing Now Holds Both of America's Next-Generation Fighter Contracts

Boeing has won the F/A-XX contract, so it now runs development on two next-generation fighter programs at once. The first was the Air Force's F-47, which Boeing was chosen to develop in 2025. With this new award, both of these fighter efforts sit with a single American manufacturer. Owners know how much depends on the company that builds the airframe, and this is a large vote of confidence in one company's engineering.
