The eFlyer 2 has flown. It is Bye Aerospace's two-seat trainer, and it runs on electric power alone. The flight came after the FAA gave its approval this month, and the aircraft is now in the test program that any new airframe has to complete before owners can judge it. For anyone who has paid for a primary student's hours in avgas, an electric trainer that is actually flying is worth watching closely, even at this early stage.
