Duffy's Certification Push Reaches the Hangar

Transportation Secretary Duffy wants new aircraft to get through government approval faster. The secretary gave two reasons: approval takes too long, and other countries are competing for the same business. For owners, the time to certify a type is the gap between a manufacturer announcing an airplane and an airplane they can take delivery of and fly. For now the secretary has only asked for faster approval. No rule has changed, and nothing changes the paperwork on any airframe flying today.
