AVweb's picture for October 2 shows a NASA F-5 coming down toward the runway at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The airplane is a small, sharp-nosed fighter in a space agency's markings, on short final to the same strip of Wisconsin concrete that private owners use. Anyone who has flown their own airplane into Oshkosh will know the view from the cockpit. This time a government jet is the one on short final.
