The FAA has approved an emergency autoland system for the Pilatus PC-12 PRO, and EASA has approved it too. If the pilot can no longer fly, the system picks a runway, talks to air traffic control and brings the airplane down on its own. For an owner who flies single-pilot in the left seat, the useful fact is that the certification is from the U.S. regulator.
