Plan In, Airplane Out: The Navy Removes a Step With the MQ-20
The Navy has flown a demonstration in which an MQ-20 Avenger took a plan built by people and carried it out itself, with nothing in between. The plan was set by humans, the flying was done by the aircraft, and the test was about joining those two steps. For owners who still file, brief and fly their own legs, this shows where military aviation is testing the handoff from planner to airframe. It was a military demonstration, and nothing about it applies to a Part 91 cockpit today.
