AVweb's featured image for September 28, 2026 shows Lockheed Martin's F-22 Raptor in the sky above Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Most owners know Oshkosh from the ground: the ramp, the approach, the long walk from the parking row. This frame shows the town from above, with an air-superiority fighter in the airspace that general aviation usually has to itself. For those of us who fly our own airplanes, it is a pleasant picture of the most crowded patch of sky in American general aviation, with the heaviest metal in the country flying through it.
