Three Engines, One Taxiway: A TAT Tri-Motor Heads for the Runway
AVweb's picture of the day is a TAT Tri-Motor rolling out under its own power. The photo shows a ground movement on the way to a takeoff, the routine part of any flight. An owner looks at that taxi run and sees what kept the airplane able to do it: an inspection signed off, three engines that started and came up to temperature, and a crew working through its checklist before calling for the runway. Anyone who has ever paid for an annual knows that work doesn't show in the picture.
