Stratolaunch has brought a Boeing 777 into the group of aircraft it uses for hypersonic testing. The company says the 777 will serve as a carrier platform and expects it to raise how much it can fly by 35 percent. Owners know the 777 from the ramp at the big airports, but here it is a working airframe, chosen for a test schedule rather than a cabin. The point of the addition is simple: more flights.
