A Bath Mat Made of Stone Is Selling for 27 Percent Less
The Dorai mat is a slab of diatomaceous earth, a mineral that looks and feels a little like ceramic and pulls water off wet feet faster than fabric does. Architectural Digest tested it against rival mats and ranked it first. It is now listed at 27 percent below its regular price. For a house with a well-made bathroom, it is a small, solid object on the floor that dries by itself instead of a towel that stays damp.
