For the Shaded Side of the House, Toad Lilies Earn Their Place

· 1 min read

Most properties have a corner that gets little direct sun, where the light comes through the tree canopy in patches. According to Veranda, toad lilies belong in that spot. The magazine says they do well in filtered light and are easier to keep than a gardener might expect. They are perennials, so a single planting comes back each season, which is welcome on any well-kept property. With autumn planting underway, they are worth considering for the part of the grounds the sun mostly misses.

With reporting from Veranda.
