Sturges House Puts Wright Preservation Back in the National Spotlight

Frank Lloyd Wright's cantilevered Sturges House in Los Angeles has been named endangered by the L.A. Conservancy, drawing fresh attention to how the city safeguards its midcentury architectural inheritance. The 1939 residence remains one of the clearest expressions of Wright's Usonian ideas on the West Coast, and its listing renews the case for protecting it.
