Hammer Museum Names a New Chair to Lead Its Board

The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles has a new chair at the head of its board of trustees. The change was noted in ARTnews's roundup of industry appointments dated October 8, 2026. For a museum that sits on the Westwood edge of the UCLA campus and is a fixture of the city's collecting and exhibition calendar, leadership of the board is a seat that matters well beyond its own walls. The museum has not been quoted on the appointment in the report, and the new chair's name was not included in the summary that reached this desk.
