A Jens Quistgaard House Gets a Leading Role in "Verity"

· 1 min read

Some of the most interesting design work this season is happening on a film set, not at an auction. For the screen version of Colleen Hoover's novel "Verity," Amy Williams led the team that took a midcentury residence designed by Jens Quistgaard and turned it into the story's central setting. Quistgaard's name is usually found on the underside of a piece, so it is unusual to see it attached to a house that audiences will spend a whole movie inside. The job was to make an architect's house feel like the home of the people living in it on screen, and a collector watching will look at the rooms as closely as at the plot.
