LeRoy Neiman Opens Samsung's Screen Gallery, With 33 Works on Call

· 1 min read

Samsung screens now have LeRoy Neiman as their first featured artist. The Artists Rights Society has signed an agreement with the electronics company to put licensed art on its screens. Anyone who signs up gets 33 Neiman works. For now that is the whole program: one artist and a fixed set of 33 pieces, shown on a screen rather than as a canvas or print. For collectors, the notable part is what's being sold. Nothing is auctioned and no object changes hands. The rights group is licensing the right to show the images. Whether the screen hangs in a Palm Beach den or a Manhattan apartment, a Neiman can now go up on it.
