The American SetA Redrawn Map for Miami Beach: 272 Galleries Set for December
The gallery list for this year's Art Basel Miami Beach is out, and it holds 272 names. The fair runs December 2 through 6, and its layout has been substantially reworked. The biggest change is that the Meridians section is gone. The resulting list is leaner, and for collectors who plan their visits booth by booth, that means a new route through the halls. For Miami, the release of the list is the first real sign of the season ahead: which dealers are coming and how the rooms will be arranged. Anyone who knew the old map will want to study the new one before the doors open in December.
