The Kia EV3 Passes Its First Test at $44,985. Now Comes the $31,000 Car

· 1 min read

Car and Driver has tested the 2027 Kia EV3 in GT-Line trim, priced at $44,985, and came back pleased. The testers found the compact electric crossover cleverly laid out and full of personality, which is welcome in a part of the market that rarely gets much affection. Their verdict covers only the GT-Line. The base EV3, priced at about $31,000, has not been through the same test yet. For anyone choosing a first electric car, that roughly $14,000 gap between the two versions is the number to watch, and the next test will show what the lower price gets you.

With reporting from Car and Driver.
