The American SetBarclay Tagg's Long Road From Penn State to the Winner's Circle
Long before he became one of the sport's most respected trainers, Barclay Tagg studied animal husbandry at Pennsylvania State University, earning his degree in 1961. He carried that foundation into a career over the jumps as a steeplechase rider before turning to conditioning horses full-time in 1972, a vocation he has now pursued for more than five decades.
