The American SetBrown Returns to the Flower Bowl With a Half-Million on the Line
The Flower Bowl Stakes runs Thursday, carrying Grade 2 status and a purse of half a million dollars. Trainer Chad Brown has a runner in the field, and he has sent out the winner of this race before. That history is the reason the turf crowd will be watching the saddling paddock closely when his entry walks over. For a stable that has made the big grass races on the East Coast its particular business, the Flower Bowl is familiar ground.
