CJ Thoroughbreds Sets the Mark Early in Ocala With a $190,000 Girvin Filly
The day's high price came almost as soon as bidding started at the OBS October Yearling Sale on Tuesday. The filly, cataloged as Hip 12 and sired by Girvin, sold for $190,000 to CJ Thoroughbreds. Because she went through the ring so early, every yearling after her that day was measured against her price, and none went higher. On the first day of a fall auction in Florida, that kind of early price shows buyers are ready to spend from the start. CJ Thoroughbreds now has a Girvin filly bought at the top of the day's market. The rest of the catalog will go through the ring in the sessions to come.
