The American SetA Half-Million Flower Bowl Runs Thursday, With Chad Brown's Name Already on the Trophy
The Flower Bowl Stakes goes to the post on Thursday, a Grade 2 turf prize carrying a purse of $500,000. The race has become familiar ground for trainer Chad Brown, who has already saddled the winner here before and sends a runner out looking to add to that record. For readers who follow the barns rather than the tote board, it is the kind of afternoon that rewards attention to pedigree, conditioning and the quiet confidence of a stable that has done this before.
