Not This Time's Daughter Takes the Franklin at Keeneland Again
Time to Dazzle won the Grade II Franklin Stakes at Keeneland on Sunday, and it is now her race two years running. She made her winning run through the middle of the turf course, away from the rail and in full view of everyone watching. Keeneland's grass course in Lexington is one of the best-known in American racing, and it rewards a horse that can quicken when the race is decided. She did it a second time in the same race, on the same turf, at the same track, and that kind of consistency is what horsemen respect most. She is by Not This Time, and a stallion's name gains a little more weight in the sales ring every time one of his runners comes back to win the same graded stakes. Sunday's result put her name on the Franklin's honor roll for a second straight year.
