Practical Joke's First Saratoga Winner Breaks Maiden on Opening Sunday

· 1 min read

Cactus Closer, a two-year-old colt by Practical Joke, broke his maiden in the Sunday opener at Saratoga, part of the meet's Keeneland-presented card. The scratch-trimmed field of six couldn't slow the young colt, who gave his sire an early credit on the Spa's oldest stage.

With reporting from Thoroughbred Daily News.
