The American SetSobhy Sonbol's $280,000 Click Tops Fasig-Tipton's August Digital Sale
Tuesday's session of Fasig-Tipton's August Digital Sale closed on a single number: $280,000, the winning bid Sobhy Sonbol placed for hip 42, Little Miss Vivi. The mare is in foal to Gunite, and that cover was the pairing bidders were weighing when her price settled at the top of the catalog. There was no ring and no auctioneer's rostrum for this one — the entire sale ran online, hip after hip, until the totals were tallied. By the close, 198 horses had changed hands for a combined $5,790,000, with Little Miss Vivi's price standing as the highest of them all.
