Tam Tam Leads Every Step in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup
Tam Tam won the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup, Keeneland's fall prize, by going to the lead and never giving it up. Leading from the start is a hard way to win a race like this. The horse in front sets the pace, sees all the trouble first and has to hold off every challenger who comes along. Tam Tam did all of it and still had plenty left when the race was decided. Few horses ever make a front-running win look as easy as Tam Tam made it look.
