5,500 Nautical Miles on One Tank: The Explorer Brief for Florida Owners

· 1 min read

Three yards have new explorer yachts, and each one does something different. Numarine went for a classic, restrained profile that should still look right years from now. Van der Valk built a lounge at the stern, down at water level, where the deck meets the sea. Cantiere delle Marche designed for distance, with a range of 5,500 nautical miles. The announcement doesn't include lengths, naval architects or prices, so we don't give any here. For an owner looking at the horizon from a Florida dock, this is the choice these explorers lay out: how the boat looks, how you live on it close to the water, or how far it can go.

With reporting from Yachting.
