Fort Lauderdale Gets First Look at Pearl's 100-Foot Hybrid Flagship
Pearl's largest yacht to date is finished with its trials on the water and is bound for Fort Lauderdale, where it will be shown publicly for the first time. The boat measures 100 feet, which puts it at the top of the yard's range. Its propulsion is the headline: a pair of MAN diesel engines working alongside electric motors, so the owner can choose between conventional power and a quieter mode depending on the moment. Below, the layout gives over five cabins to guests. The owner, meanwhile, is placed on the main deck rather than down a companionway, with the views and the natural light that position affords. For a South Florida audience that spends long weekends aboard and values a hushed anchorage as much as a fast passage, that combination of hybrid running and a main-deck master is the part worth walking down the dock to see. The yard has not put a price on the record.
