The Hinckley 41 Trades an Engine Room for More Deck

Three Mercury Verado outboards carry Hinckley's newest 41-foot dayboat to 46 knots, and because the power sits on the transom rather than under the sole, the hull keeps the space an inboard setup would otherwise claim. That space goes to water toys, gear, and guests rather than machinery. For a yard best known for classic downeast lines, hanging that much horsepower off the back marks a real shift in how it builds a dayboat. The tradeoff is the point: full speed without giving up the room to actually use the boat once it's anchored.
