· 1 min read

The food advent calendars for 2026 are already on sale, with the first of December still two months off. Eater has put together a guide to this year's best, and it comes from a simple idea: in a month spent buying for everyone else, one gift can be kept for the person who opens the little door each morning. From a kitchen counter in Naples to a pantry shelf in Aspen, the routine is the same. Open one small window before coffee and eat one small thing, every morning until the 24th.

With reporting from Eater.
