The designer's debut presentation swapped the usual runway setup for a full church tableau, complete with a gospel choir, an actual pew for seating, and handheld fans passed out to the congregation of guests. In New York, where a front row has seen every gimmick going, this was the rare setup that asked people to sit still and listen rather than crane for a photo.
