A boot doesn't need a red carpet to earn a place in the archive. The company behind Kizik has started a new brand, Blue Ox, aimed at people who work in the trades, and it launches with a pair of boot designs. The idea is the one Kizik made its name on: shoes you can step into without bending down to fuss with them. This time they're built for long days on a job site. For a desk that records who wore what and when, a new label with just two boots to its name is a good debut to note.
