Buccaneers, Beatles, and a Whole Lot of Gold Braid: Ermanno Scervino's Spring 2027 Raids Fashion History

Ermanno Scervino built his Spring 2027 collection around gold frogging, the ornate braid trim first seen on 18th century pirate coats and, two centuries later, on The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's uniforms. Rather than saving the detail for one showpiece, the house ran it throughout the lineup, turning swashbuckling hardware into a recurring signature. It's the kind of pairing only a fashion archive would think to draw: buccaneers and rock royalty, sharing one gilded seam.
