The Council of Fashion Designers of America has released its 2026 nominees and honorees, and the shortlist doubles as a survey of the country's fashion establishment. Ralph Lauren and Carolina Herrera sit alongside younger label Public School New York on the roster. The one honor already decided outright: Anthony Vaccarello has been named International Designer of the Year, the category reserved for talent working beyond U.S. borders. The rest of the field now waits on the vote.
