The Crop That Keeps Winning

Short hair is having a run on this season's most polished heads, and it isn't one look but several — clipped tight at the nape, brushed back off the face, tousled just enough at the crown to look unstudied. It's a cut that leaves nowhere to hide, which is exactly its appeal: no styling tricks standing between the dress and the woman wearing it. On a red carpet or under a crown, the effect is the same — less hair, more presence.
